TEDActive attendee highlighted as local hero

All of us at TEDActive 2010 already knew that Krupali Tejura has a big heart and a tendency to save the day. It comes as no surprise that her local news station figured it out too. Last week, Krupali was featured on the California-based channel KTLA as part of their series "Heroes at Home." They captured the amazing story of her commitment to a patient who was a fan of violinist Andre Rieu. Not only did she buy this patient and her husband tickets to his concert, but when Krupali tweeted about their situation she got a response from Rieu himself with an offer that went above anything her patient expected.

In the spirit of TEDActive: "The Beckoning of Lovely"

We're starting a new feature on the TEDActive blog, highlighting a video, story, person or anything at all really that we think embodies the Active spirit and that our community will enjoy. As much as we can, we try to be about doing and making things and having fun while we do, so for the first of these posts we couldn't think of anyone more appropriate than Amy Krouse Rosenthal who recently spoke at TEDxWaterloo.

After watching her talk, we fell in love with the video she showed that documents a gathering of total strangers that she initiated under "The Bean" in Chicago, just to make something pretty. So, here it is:
